About me

An upbringing in the French countryside and a current life in semi rural England has led me to focus on displacement and memory. My work is informed by my own human history and the memories attached to it: I explore my own human condition and the work is inspired by my French childhood watching my father restoring antiques and work with wood as well as seeing both my parents creating refined furniture and painting in the Chinese lacquer style.

Lines, cracks, fissures, nature and the landscapte as well as written language and architecture are my source of exploration. I use them to create series of images which are abstract or figurative.

I like painting using pigments and vanish as well as printing (photopolymer etching, drypoint, monoprinting, reduction lino)

All the example in this website are only a small collection of my work which can be viewed by visiting my studio or emailing me (see contact section)
